Beautiful countryside and plenty of wildlife, with plenty of interesting towns along the way. The weather is warm all year round, if a little damp at times - lush forests don't grow just anywhere.

NSW is very slow to get on board with rail trails. I think their first one was only recently approved (Tumbarumba?). The roads are appalling in regional NSW so it would be good to have somewhere decent to ride.

The first sections may be opening next year, fingers crossed. Murwillumbah to Crabbes Creek will be first to open. Work on the trail from Casino to Bentley is also underway. Hard to believe anything bike related is progressing in NSW, but now I have a good reason to visit in the nearish future.
