People could be fined $1652 for exercising in a location outside of their local area under Victoria’s COVID-19 lockdown rules.
In a clarification of its advice on travel restrictions, the state government has prohibited travelling to an area far away from home for exercise.
It means if you live in the suburb of Spotswood, you cannot drive 20 minutes to South Yarra to go for a walk around the Royal Botanic Gardens. Cyclists must stick to their closest cycling trails.
