This one goes to new heights: http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/pplater-allegedly-sped-down-hume-highway-at-150kmh-with-child-in-back-seat-20160803-gqjvvb.html

speeding p-plater, young child in the car, unregistered vehicle - oh, and we also pulled over the partner in an unregistered vehicle, suspended license, on some illicit substance... oh, and btw...

Police say one of the cars was missing wheel nuts on all four of its wheels.

Yes, yes of course it was...

P-plater caught driving at 195kph with children in car, police say
Posted 13 minutes ago

A man has allegedly been caught driving at 195 kilometres per hour in a 110kph zone with two children in his car in Sydney's south.

The 20-year-old driver, who is on a South Australian provisional licence, was stopped in the early hours of Sunday on the Hume Highway at Ingleburn.

Police said there were two children in the back seat of the Honda Accord, an 11-year-old and a 12-year-old.

He has been issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for speeding offences as well as not obtaining a NSW licence despite being in the state for more than three months.

And the surviving child with severe head injuries - something that will affect him for the rest of his life.

How utterly depressing.

Also targeting 'driver distraction' - I suppose this is most often phone use, but I wonder what other behaviours they could fit under this heading for their purposes

Today's Age, on two hour driver blitz in Carlton:
"We had punters watching pornos, we had people watching movies, we had one guy that had a movie going and another phone so he could talk to his friends," he said.

"Most of them had phones on their lap and were engaged in social media."
