A DISQUALIFIED driver who allegedly drank five beers while on a high-speed police pursuit with an unrestrained six-year-old child in the back seat, told police he consumed the beers during the chase to “calm me down and stop me doing something stupid”.

Adam John Spackman, a 33-year-old Dubbo man, sat handcuffed and dishevelled in the dock at Orange Local Court yesterday as the charges against him were read out.

Rich pickings. http://www.donotlink.com/cy0v
The 42-year-old mother was breath-tested after she crashed into a parked car on Raphael Crescent about 12.20pm on Thursday. No one was injured. The woman returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.326 per cent and is set to be charged with drink driving and traffic offences.

It is the second time this week a motorist has recorded a very high reading after crashing their car in Melbourne.

A Yarraville man blew 0.34 per cent after patrol officers discovered a Toyota Echo which had veered off the road West Melbourne.

No word on his age or breeding status though.

A man had his license suspended after he was caught driving his quad bike while over the blood alcohol limit with his seven-year-old child seated in front of him.

Greater Dandenong Highway Patrol members detected the quad bike with two occupants travelling along Summerlea Road at 8.10pm on Sunday 21 December.

Police intercepted the vehicle and discovered the driver had his seven-year-old child seated in front of him. The driver was not wearing a helmet, his bike was unregistered and he returned a breath alcohol result of 0.164....

Probably should be illegal to be in public if not in a motor vehicle. Think of the money we could save on footpaths.

The 52-year-old told police he was delivering a pizza. He returned a reading of 0.205 per cent.
