Otherwise, lovely ride. Lots of bunnies out there. Long grasses lapping at the edges of the path. Insects droning. Plenty of magpies but no swooping.....

Weekend was prime riding weather.
Warm without being too hot and light winds.
A couple of nice rides down the bay coast after plenty of climbing earlier in the month.
Biblical rain this morning meant no early ride. Might have to sneak in an evening ride.

I heard that you guys got a few drops of rain. (The Gold Coast desperately needs it).

I can be a real bastard at times and I think, this is one of those times.
Enjoy todays' sh!t weather on the GC.

Today's ride I thought and hoped it would rain. But alas, it didn't.

George and mates waiting for their lunch at Charis Seafood.

Not to be out done by George, Goosey Lucy and mates wanted their photo as well.

And a very 2nd rate boat being dragged out of Loders Creek.

Apart from some rain Monday morning, it's been absolutely prime riding weather here in Melbourne.
Looks good for the next week as well.

These guys' recreational ride on the weekend wasn't too good.

A lot of people would've seen the video of this "accident" in Newcastle, where a car sideswiped at least one cyclist in a small group.
Judging by how much room the other drivers gave the riders, the offending driver either did it deliberately (which is how it looks to me), or he or she just wasn't concentrating.
I don't know anything about it yet

To me, it looked deliberate.

I'd put money on playing with their phone.

A nice view from yesterday's ride.

Taken at Narrowneck opposite MacIntosh Island where the Supercars race in the GC600.
Looking towards Surfers.

It was warm and windy in Melbourne today. Just a short run around the Albert Park Lake GP circuit a few times to get the legs into gear before riding along Beach Rd to Mordialloc. From Mordi I returned to Albert Park for some warm down laps before heading back to the cool of my house.

A few weeks old now but relatively new. It has been a lot of fun for post-lockdown adventures. I am still developing my bent fitness - it is said they use different leg muscles to upright bikes, although my normal bike muscles have probably atrophied anyway from being stuck inside too long.

Wow.
What prompted the big change?
Looks like it could get up some speed.....

I was looking for something more comfortable to ride, especially for longer distances. It is a definite improvement over any bike I have ridden.
