I (almost) feel warmed already, Frosty. I was waiting for the news report about the crash of the blimp - visualised a balloon-like squish of the high-rise!
Since it's 8 degrees and grey / wet here in Briar Hill this morning, I feel great sympathy for your struggles with the weather on the Escape Victoria Coast.

i had a ride up the Dandenongs this morning. Plenty of riders out and about. very foggy. had to ditch the suunies as they kept fogging up. not good going down the Olinda rd and down the wall at 50k+, a car trying to get past and you can't see the road. Anyway managed to get them off and in the back pocket. we took it pretty easy today, first hills we have done in a while. no legs. we were doing plenty of tour de France running commentary on the way.
There was a Winners Bars dude setup at sassafras. giving out taste tests and selling their products. We sampled about 4 or 5 different bars. they are a bit hard to chew at 5 degrees. we did buy some so he was happy.
Good ride today, good to remind the legs what hills are, and the change of scenery.

My recreational ride this morning. Beautiful weather, beautiful country side, best place in the world to ride a bike.
