Sounds like a good time and reason to hibernate. Happy healing.

The Seaway Promenade at The Spit is now completed and open to the Public.

It is wider and suits both the walkers and cyclists better.

Just after leaving home and heading towards Southport, I saw this view and just had to stop and take a photo.

The Broadwater was looking rather nice.

The photo was taken at 'downtown' Labrador.

Today was my 700th ride to the Gold Coast Spit.
My 1st ride was on Wed 5th August 2009. (A retired Banker who loves his stats). :D

Today's photo from The Spit.

Congratulations on the big 700 Frosty. You also managed to make it coincide with the winter solstice, if that means anything to people living on the Gold Coast.

Thanks Matt.
I left before sunrise this morning, I had to have my lights on.
Up here it's daylight a bit after 6am and sunset a bit after 5pm.
And yes, today is the shortest day.

700! Nice work.
I bet it's a whole lot warmer there in the morning than it is here!

When I leave early about 6:30am, it’s down around 10 but the wind chill is the killer, consequently, i wear tights and spray jacket.
My rides usually take 3 to 4 hours, and by the end its around 20, so I have stripped off tights and jacket.

The Whale Watching season has started and this morning I saw the Sea World Whale Watching boat heading out.
It was a bit rough out on the Coral Sea.

I am currently caravanning around Western Queensland.
I was going to bring you some photos of my riding around the various places BUT SOME PERSON STOLE MY BIKE THE FIRST NIGHT AWAY.
The only good news it was my OLD bike.
Bugger.

Sorry to hear of your loss, Frosty. I was looking forward to hearing and seeing your tales from the Western Queensland rides.
