:D Grumpy and Grua have just picked up their shiny new bikes. They are a beautiful blue and yellow with great advertising for the ride. The next excitment will be receiving the pack telling us more details about the ride. We are enjoying our training in King's Park and around the Swan River. Grumpy

Picked up our bikes today too. I am interested to know how people think they compare to the Kermits of 2006. We have a Kermit at home that has been 'beefed up" to some extent - do we salvage bits off the old bike to put on the new, or stick with the old one?
More importantly, a blue and yellow bike does not bear the moniker of Kermit nearly as well as a green and black bike.....what shall we call them?

If it's more yellow than blue like the pic above suggests, how about Yellow Peril? :P
Just ride the bloody thing and enjoy yourself!

I picked up the bikes on Saturday morning and had Peg's bike down to her in Denmark by the afternoon. Oh how heads turned as the locals gazed upon the slick new machines.

Spent a lovely sunday morning on the Yellow Peril (is that politically correct) cycling from Denmark to Ocean Beach and back on a still fine morning. Pity it's in eagles colours but it's not too dissimilar in fitout to my green machine which has now been demoted to the capacity of town bike...to reside in the office bike cage for those short journeys into town.

I was very pleased with the way the bike rolled. With point one of a tonne on the beast, the momentum was quickly established and maintained. Uphill, no probs. great granny gear.
Does the name "Pavlov" ring a bell?

It would be nice if they offered the deal to interstate riders as well.

That way, I wouldn't have to worry about packing up my bike and sending it on the aeroplane, and at the end of the ride I could donate the bike to a needy charity who are trying to provide bikes for people who need them to improve their lives.

The kids and hubby have posted some ks on the new bikes and they are going well. After doing some maintenanace and cleaning I couldn't help notice all the components made by Joytech and other such lucky and happy places. I think the bikes should be called "Happy Wheels"
