Early would satisfy my requirements for "family day with in laws" too.

I'm still undecided on the Saturday morning Northern Express to RRR... but like Marti, I need to get some kms to make up for the distinct lack this week - while also factoring in some on foot - I'm sloooooowly getting some distance back! So Sunday is a ride day no matter what! Not keen for big hill assaults if it's prior to or after running, to avoid flow on effect. Small hills, ok! ;)

Early... well... what are people's preferences, and I can try to work around it!

what about beach rd? looks like there's no triathlons on sunday morning so the road should be open. there's some small hills in that

i don't know about RRR just yet. bom says morning showers so if it's raining that'll be a no for me. i'll probably skip the northern express. (trying to organise a get together with friends so i'll need to be able to get home a bit more quickly then if i have to ride it.)

Spotted several wearers of the LIVEWRONG kit out this morning.

I nominate it as a possible replacement slogan for HTFU... or just mix the two together in your own style!

EDIT: Oh, and just shy of 90km today which made me REALLLY yearn for my new bike!!! :x :(

Patience is apparently not my virtue.

How would you class yourself as cyclists? Are you fast? Do you just enjoy a nice social ride with a no drop policy?

Because of availability, it can often be just two of us together - so no one is dropping anyone! Always 'social', sometimes pushing the pace. Lately we've been trying to get out in the hills (I'm closing in on my 1 in 20 sub-20, dammit!!! )

Hi, just having a quick browse of this thread. I'd gathered last time I posted here a few months ago that it was either now a closed group or else with a minimum speed. I thought I'd better check again.... if it's a group that's tougher than the Black Rock BBC (or than the last nice fast BBC) it perhaps could be something I could build up towards?

Well this thread is really random as not that many rides actually are posted on here. Canuck, Wordnerd and I are all inner north gals so sometimes we arrange just to ride the boulie - on which you are more than welcome to come along. Although I think tomorrow is actually a spin along beach rd. :D

We could start another 'plan a ride' type thread without the (potentially) misleading title of beach rd. Or maybe we just keep using this one and actually use it to plan rides....? :)

Do the Boulie rides still happen?

Yes - as osmund said... randomly!
