That's good news :)

Also, the weather forecast has improved remarkably and is now saying "sunny" 8-)

Yes, there's a few of us meeting at the Lilydale railway station. Please try to get there early so we can roll away at 09:00AM.

I estimate that the approx time we will be at the Carriage Cafe might be arriving between 10:00 & 10:15 and then departing 10:30 - 10:45. Some people will meet us here and more people will either join at Worri Yallock and/or meet us on the trail.

Just saw this Dan...

"SERVICE DETAIL

While we upgrade the track, buses will replace trains between Parliament and Camberwell, all day Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 April.

Please note that this may increase your journey by up to 30 minutes.

To check the location of the train replacement bus stops, click here.

Please note in accordance with the Victorian Fares & Ticketing Manual 2015, bicycles, surfboards and dogs are not permitted to travel on buses. An exception exists for guide dogs, hearing guide dogs, guide dogs in training, animals identified by an Assistance Animal Pass and small animals if they are suitably contained."

Great :) I remember the other two times I was on the right train for joining you at the right time ;) One thing: I'm really super slow at the moment..... but at least it's only about 14 km so if I get dropped, I'd still hopefully get to the Cafe before 10:30. At least there aren't many traffic lights!

Thanks for that. I hadn't been aware. Just had a look through the list. Of the 8 people starting at Lilydale 7 live in outer east and/or are driving/riding to the start.

Squeazasis - I'm sorry, I don't know whereabouts you get on the train. If on the city side, can you ride to Camberwell :?:

Actually I live on the East side of Camberwell. It just occurred to me now though, it might affect the timing of trains heading East: will phone and check. (Not that it's far from the city to Camberwell though, if I was on the city side ;) .)

We'll be riding from Seville with two small people, one on bike and one in trailer. We will be slow and may be heard singing songs and cajoling to keep the small person going!

Look forward to seeing people tomorrow :)

Running late due to a mechanical issue with our car. Hopefully will be at Seville by 10.30.

See you all!

Fantastic day to be out!

We were off the back before we even left the carriage cafe due to it taking a little bit longer for our crew to get going!

Then going at 4-year-olds pace, and an early stack that saw a heartless father run over his fallen son :o (all good, some tears and hugs and back on the bike!) meant we didn't see the main group again until they were leaving Warburton as we were arriving :D Mr2 expanded his vocabulary from his vantage point in the trailer, yelling such helpful phrases as 'Mummy ride the bike', 'faster', 'faster AGAIN mummy', 'go, go, go!'.

Great catching up with Dale again after my prolonged absence from any social rides! We also met another friend - coppery coloured, and long and slithery, who thankfully departed the trail shortly after we caught sight of him.

Mr4 ended up doing a little over 20kms in the day! 10 there, 10 back, when he really got into the groove and wanted to keep on riding for ever!

I towed trailer plus small people to Warburton, MrSqueaza towed them back, which gave us both a chance to stretch our legs and do some resistance work. At 50kms it's the longest ride I've done in ages and it's nice to see I still remember how to ride. I'm well on my way to beating 2014's measly riding total of about 200kms! but a long way off the heady heights of doing 10,000kms in a year before I put my efforts to growing and raising small children instead :D

Mary and I both enjoyed the ride, Dan.
Thanks for organising the day.
Beth rode with us back to Wandin then continued back to Lilydale.
Gotta take our hats off to the Squeeza team!

Great to catch up with so many faces I haven't seen for a while, Dan, Dave and the squeezaclan.....
Managed to get an earlier train than I expected, so arrived earlier from lilydale to avoid getting too cold.
Nice fast downhill from mt evelyn, then coffee at the carrage café.....coffee wasn't as good as ive had before from there....hmmm.
Rode with the squeezaclan and enjoyed the more relaxed pace..
Great to see squeezed pump out over 20km, all the while with a constant happy chatter....exept for a mishap and the tears.
Not so great was the piece of bark the came alive in front of me.....turns out it was a 4 1/2 ft copperhead....he didn't linger on the trail and rapidly disappeared beneath the old grass clippings...
Had a great day out for a total of nearly 85km, about 55 of those on gravel.

Thanks to everyone for coming. Turned out to be perfect weather. With many people joining and departing the ride at different points it was hard to keep track of the headcount but on a couple of sections we had 15 people in the main group. I think I managed to either talk to and/or ride with just about everyone.
