Lil' Snuffy #2 is due in just over a month, soooo I kinda had to get this ride done before then!

Does anyone know how long it takes the snow to melt? It snowed last Sunday. I want to ride tomorrow but I'm not up with Snuffy level of snowbike hardcore suffering. So it would need to have melted quite a lot, or else I'll take the paved road instead.

I see from Strava that some guys rode it last Sunday, this looks tough... https://www.strava.com/activities/1781993972 . Hard to imagine that much snow has melted by now. Someone else I see rode the paved road on Monday and said they had to walk the last few hundred metres through 30cm deep snow.

Hi Hamish,

whenever we head up there I usually check this page - https://www.warburtoninfo.com/mount-don ... eport.html which as at this morning says there is still plenty of snow up there.
or their FB page which may be more up to date - https://www.facebook.com/WarburtonInfo

Thanks Gerry, as long as the road is clear it should be fine. I'm not riding a fat bike, but I might take the CX then.

Come borrow... don't let pesky things like snow hold you back. The fatty probably isn't much heavier than your Grovel

Honestly, given that the snow was on the weekend and it wasn't too cold today, I'd expect that most of the snow on the dirt road has melted, except for maybe in the shady bits. there might be bits of snow on the road in the deeper corners that don't get a lot of sun.... that said... looking at that forecast, I'm pretty jealous that I can't get up there
