It pays to shop around for weather forecasts. Elders and Weatherzone are both giving you easterlies on Friday.

That's probably the best offer you're going to get, so I recommend you accept it :-D

You're probably going to get wet though...

Saturday's weather forecast changes by the hour. Could be an interesting day. Everybody, think westerly thoughts.

If it rains, I'm staying at the Greendale Pub until my family wonder where I am and come looking. This may be some time.....
Sanity. It's overrated.

I missed the Bus cutoff yesterday, so will be taking the first train to Ballarat Saturday @ 7:08am (from Sth Cross), jumping on at Footscray @ 7:16am, jumping off at Ballarat @ 8:40am.
Then pedal south down Lydiard St, left @ the first roundabout into DanaSt, then straight on down Eastwood st to the park.
See youse dere.
Just a bike & a place to ride.

Not necessarily.

Taken to private emails.

Marx' directions from the station to the start are correct though. Lydiard St south across town, left at Dana, weeeeeeeeeeee down the big hill, past the police station and the back of the supermarkets, keep going ~straight and you're there.

Saturday 29 MarchCloudy. Isolated showers clearing during the morning. Light winds. Overnight temperatures falling to between 11 and 15 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 20s.
- I reckon it's going to be oright.

I’ll still plan to take the train to Melb>’Rat to free a bus spot for those with no other option, but I’ll touch base here on Friday juz-in-case there still a spot.
Just a bike & a place to ride.

You're a thinker. There's a slight possibility that might work, depending on how late afternoon things go.

'sme. 'Cept I've locked that in.

(I've also sponsored a rider whose total seemed a little low).

Ha. Thanks.
I meant to post it to Farcebook. $100 raised is $100 more than last year.... when I couldn't even come along...

Registered :) Don't know whether or not I'll be any stronger than on last year's ride, having had not much riding in the past four weeks (plus very little distance riding in many months).... and then the last four days, when I was intending to make up for lost time in view of this event, I was fighting of one of the lurgies going around (successfully fought off with vitamin C :) ). So will see whether I can keep up with the slow group.... always worth a try! (And who knows, might even be able to take my turn on the front of the slow group ;) .)

The $4k mark has been passed. The $5k target is in sights - if you haven't sponsored someone (or if you're riding, and haven't hit anyone up) then please do so ;)

So anybody from the eastern suburbs getting a lift into town to catch the bus? Or catching the train in? Hmmm, is Mitcham station operational yet?

With little ones still in bed my better half can't drop me off.

Of to Metro website to check... and top up Mrs B's myki card to borrow for the day.

Sorry Blybo, I thought you were on the list :-/

I've kind of given up on The List for now anyway... there's about 20 forum people (I think?) out of the 47 we now have riding. Some are more active than others, and it's hard to be certain where some people have appeared from

So there's a big BV Forum contingent, but it's not even a majority BV Forum ride any more.

Now, everybody think DRY thoughts for Saturday!
