I had to bail on a ride this morning. Had a cold all of last week and just getting my first couple of rides in on Tuesday and yesterday. Did not want to ruin the health progress by riding in cold fog - that just seems to destroy my lungs if they are not 100%

Well done for getting out there and doing some good riding :D

Enjoyable ride this morning, be it a little painful.

4 X 4 minute efforts, first three all mid 39kph's, was determined to crack the 40kph on the final interval and just made it. 40.06kph.
Felt quite ill at the end!

Nice coffees afterwards, dont think I was the only one that wanted to curl up in a ball and spend the morning at Degani.

Surprised to hear but ice. Yeah it was bloody cold but my Garmin said a minimum of 8.2 on the way home.... Felt colder and I had an almost constant stream of condensation dripping off my helmet.

The CMR part of the ride was quite nice, fog closed in on the last 1/2 lap.

Was up for a super-pootle pace alas had to go a bit harder to stop freezing up completely. Was all up for a little nap at Degani but there you go...back to reality.

Was foggy down there tonight. Don't know how they could play footy cos you couldn't see most of the players. And it started to roll in to the velodrome - great pix for the photographers there some nights.

only got worse on my second outing, bit busy up the top round the school so had to finish a bit before 8... good morning for general hardening up.....
Thawed my feet out in a hot shower then snuggled under the doona till it was time to get up for work.....

I have determined who was responsible for this error and sacked myself.

Saw a few hardy souls out there this morning braving the rain. I started my laps at 5.15 so was quite happy to head home at about 6.15 when the drops started getting a bit heavier! Unfortunately my rear end has not yet recovered from some nasty chamois issues arising out of last Sunday's wet ride.

Got drenched for the later commute to the city at 8.00 though. :P
Don't wish it were easier, wish you were better!

Now THAT would be one heck of a challenge. Not so much the riding bit but the mental toughness to keep going despite the boredom.
Lets see, taking it easy thats 4.5 laps per hour x 13 = 52 laps.

52 x 6.6km = 343.2 km would be hard on the butt too!!!
