Sat was my Fri, so I tended to be dropping thru a few micro (and nano) breweries on my way home. There's plenty westwards too these days, so sadly, Goat is only an occasional visit.

Boneheads and Henry St in Kensington (although not actually in Henry St) are frequent, Hop Nation and Two Birds occasional.

Was gonna have one next Sat, but realised my chance of getting even close to a brewery with a bike on Aust Day is remote, so going for the following Sat Feb 2nd, and gonna hit Colonial in Port Melb, and then Urban Alley in Docklands if anyone is interested. Leaving about 4:30 from Carlton North. So likely get to Colonial shortly after 5.

Do try westside aleworks in between, just off montague st :ugeek:

"I lived with them on Montague Street
In a basement down the stairs,
There was music in the cafes at night
And revolution in the air."

Maybe we'll meet a Nobel Laureate down there.

But seriously, is this still on? A buyer just signed a contract to buy my house pending building inspection which happened yesterday. The stress of selling in a dead market has been unbelievably tense. Saturday mornings spent getting the house ready for opens, weekdays spent resisting agent pressure to take any low-ball offer. I need a long ride then a drink or two.

^ congrats on the sale, Stephen.

Not sure tonight is my night, unfortunately, in the beer stakes...

So the Colonial was a nice ride. I left Burwood in 35C and was pretty thirsty by the time I arrived at the Colonial in Port Melbourne.

A gang mounted on Bromptons soon turned up. I watched them fold their bicycles into halfs then quarters then eighths. Euler would have been proud.

But they were a friendly bunch so I joined in as the interloper on the Marin for the ride to Docklands.

I was looking at that the other day and trying to work out how I could get there using the Darebin Creek.

Looks like the trail is on the other side of the creek there, so probably need to use Chifley Drive from either Dundas or Bell.

That's what I was thinking too. I just wasn't sure exactly where along Chifley Drive it is, so where to exit the path.
