This is absolutely devastating news! Condolences to friends and family.

We had never actually met in person. But he was such a support to me whilst my wife was managing her cancer from diagnosis, treatments and finally her passing - all the while quietly managing his...

I promised him the first ride outdoors no matter the distance I'd be riding there with him. The last message I received from him seemed like this would finally take place.

Currently OS so can't make the service unfortunately.

If anyone is going to attend wagger's funeral, do you think it appropriate to print a copy of this thread and give it to a family member or friend?

Even though I never personally met him, he came across as a real nice guy.

Just a thought.

I also cannot attend as I am on the Gold Coast.

Its likely at this moment that I wont make the service. I know also that JAC cannot as she is in Cairns. Yes by all means send a copy of
the thread. I found his fight for life and love of cycling inspiring I regret his leaving us very much

I'll be attending. I can let Brent's partner know about these posts and see if interested in receiving a copy of these posts and if wanted make arrangements to send a copy after the service.

i never got to actually meet wagger, but we had plenty of banter over the forum. not to mention the epic battles on the annual cycle kms. sad to hear he lost his battle with his health that he was fighting so hard.

I never met Wagger either. We crossed paths on our commutes a few times, although I didn't realise until after the fact. He also gave me some good route advice for the northern suburbs. I won't be able to get to his funeral, but I will think of him tomorrow.

Thank you j9. I don't think that I will be able to attend either, and as you seem to be in touch and that seems to be a fitting way to convey our sentiments it would be nice to do that.
Stay fixed. Keeping a cool head.

Been struggling with what to say, because its times like this that life really sucks.... i met wagger a couple of times when he was volunteering for the ms ride for one, he was bike mad and a great guy to chat with. i admired his tenacity and determination in the struggle with his health.
A great guy who touched many.
condolances to his family and many friends
