Re: Meat & 3 Veg

Didn't ride like I meant to this morning, but getting some done in the kitchen and laundry... Prep for the work week: Made guacamole for a fast nacho side to soup at lunch. Veggie full version of pork/veal bolognaise sauce for tonight and freezer. Chickpea tikka masala for later in the week. ...

Re: How was your commute today

Wrote a post earlier today but it got lost.

Bit of rain prior to the walk to school, then a warm but dry ride to work.

Same dog every day, same corner of the dog park, waiting and going nuts barking as I pass.

Backpack not getting much lighter. But I'm riding more, so I'm happy.

Re: The weather-watch thread

Forget the updates. Tomorrow's forecast sounds like I'm in for a wet and possibly wild ride....

Re: How was your commute today

Yesterday and today my backpack has been 6+kg. Not feeling very swift anyway, so the extra weight is adding a bit of extra training...

Muggy but nice ride home. Perfect riding this morning.

Re: How was your commute today

Happy empty trails here 8-) Mutual smile / wave to a runner I see fairly regularly. More peds than riders, but generally no crowding to speak of here. My commute, lengthened by path rather than road, is now only 7ish km one way. Next couple days I'll have to add in walking the Boy plus my bike to hi...

Re: Meat & 3 Veg

Green spaghetti. Basically an olive oil, garlic, leek, veg stock, touch of cream n pasta water type recipe filled in with green veg and sometimes parmesan, mixed through a noodle pasta. Tonight was with the above plus a shredded zucchini from the garden, a few cups of packed spinach leaves, peas, an...

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Did an out and back Craigieburn by path on Saturday. No scorching sun, no horror headwind. Few other riders, couple dog walkers, no runners.

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Awwww, not today: just getting the feels from FB 'On this day' flashbacks to doing a triple Buffalo in 2013 when the Alpine was on fire....
I still remember laying in bed in Bright the night before the ride. Window open. Some softly falling rain had made everything smell like damp campfire.

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Just a short 11km to get to and from a park to play before it got too hot. I think the Boy is def ready for some longer explorations. I just need to sort out the logistics, esp when we need a car to do rides. Juggle, juggle. Also going to have to squeeze them into weekends as holidays come to an end...
