Re: New Bike

I went on to bike exchange and found https://www.bikeexchange.com.au/a/road-bikes/norco/vic/brunswick/valence-disc-a-tiagra/102919983 .. so you're saying something like this would be better because less risk of a cracked frame and if it breaks I can have it fixed / replaced for free? YES, that bike...

Re: New Bike

I'm 14 and ............... will probably start riding to school a lot in the next few years (20km and very hilly). It looks like that for the next few years riding to school will be an important purpose for the bike. Nowadays. senior students often have to carry a heavy load to/from school that may...

wagger wrote:Pedantic alert: Are they barriers or bollards?

My dictionary defines "barrier" as - a bar or gate that stops people or vehicles from entering a place

Whereas "bollard" is defined as - a strong post (as on a wharf or quay or ship for attaching mooring lines)

Re: How much do you drink

This thread illustrates beautifully the advantages of the Forums over other forms of social media. Having a three year conversation on Facebook would be utterly impossible.

Re: Why are the Forums slowing down?

Added Fraggle and myself. I'm surprised it's so few people ......... I don't believe this list is accurate . For one, I'm not on it and there are people on the list who have not posted for years. Maybe they have been on the forum though. YES , you're right! It's not accurate. I didn't have access t...

Hi Frosty - YES, got it OK and easy to read in spreadsheet.

Your list is more scientific and accurate than mine. The good news is that your list shows more people active than what I anticipated :)

Thanks roshea - how do you find the "last active" data? Is that available to mods only or can an ordinary member access it?

Re: Why are the Forums slowing down?

These forums close down ,then I will disappear into the cycling abyss. .... Good for you. Glad to see you have the fortitude to cull yourself from the online world. It's not easy to do. Here's my first attempt at creating a list of those members who are still active on these Forums. Obviously I won...
