Re: How was your recreational ride today?

I haven't ridden since last week.

Today's photo shows the beautiful, glassy Bum's bay at The Spit.

Looks can be deceiving, it was tights and spray jacket weather. A tad chilly.

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Being the weekend, the shared paths are crowded. Today's highlight was: the joy of riding in a beautiful, sunny day with a light breeze. Today's lowlight was: just missing seeing the baby green tree snake crossing the gravel path. Today's strava details. https://www.strava.com/activities/3569917478 ...

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Boy's longest ride solo today. 11km. It was an out and back to a park. Spent a couple of hours at the park before the return. He's still learning how to control braking, but went down two long hills he was too scared to descend the last rec ride. He's not geared to get up hills, so we either get up...

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

The highlight so far this year was: The sighting and photographing a baby whale about 150 meters off the end of The Spit. Absolutely magnificent. The annual whale migration has already started. http://www.frostysaussieadventures.com/Bike-Routes/Images/2020-04/IMG_9979-1024.JPG http://www.frostysauss...

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

You need to sit to read this, otherwise you may fall over. :) Today's ride: I left at 6:30am to meet up with Simon (we both used to live in Melbourne). Due to an unforeseen episode, Simon couldn't ride so I rode anyway. Bear in mind that I have now lived on the Gold Coast for over 2 years after movi...
