Re: The weather-watch thread

Question is who is right?

Last time they forecast something like this was back in January. I didn't go away that long weekend because of it and found out from others who went it barely rained at all!

Re: New power meter coming

What sorta price? I'd love to upgrade from my DA 7800 wired to wireless unit... Found the emails from 2014: I contacted both SRM Oceania in NZ and SRM USA at the time. SRM Oceania replied with PM Spider at 50% discount under their Crash Replacement Policy so would come to $1,362.50 NZD including po...

Re: New power meter coming

As someone thats ridden with an SRM for the past 10 years that has only had a battery replacement every 3 years, and it was second hand when I got it and still performs when calibrated the last two times, the R^2 result for different forces was equal to 1.0 - i place a fair old demand on what i'm a...

Re: How was your commute today

Cold but perfect, nailed the clothing layers and the new winter shoes are easier than mucking around with booties. Magnificent morning for the ride in! First appearance for 2018 of the long knicks. I do run in instead of ride if the rain is heavy in the morning. Otherwise it's on the bike and the long loop in. :D

Which is why I was able to stop. 10 minutes later when completely dark, even crawling around the corner would have resulted in 2 people and a dog sprawled on the ground potentially injured.

Re: How was your commute today

Commutes all pleasant enough this week. Always nice to start the day by rolling into work. Usually collection of SMIDY'S and other acts of stupidity though! Last night it was a pedestrian that wins 'Stupid of the week'! GCT 2nd bridge East of the High St underpass outbound. I always scan through the...

Not sure if posted previously...

Chris Boardman visited Utrecht to see how the city has made cycling a part of its culture.

Re: How was your commute today

Did the bike count on GCT at Tooronga Road. As I make an effort to say good morning to the counters, I would have done so with you too as that is my commuting route :D Idiots like that shouldn't be cycling, because they just put everyone else in danger, and this one obviously has a bad temper also....

I can't live closer to the city than I do, as I need the off street parking for my cars! Currently 4... N+1 on a bigger scale!
