Same weekend as Cadel's ride

Wow...what an incredibly bad idea.

Unless you can stay awake to ride to Geelong on Saturday morning, check out the action, ride back to the city, do the night ride, head back to Geelong after breakfast....lol

Re: Ned Kelly Chase 26th October 2014

That sounds fun! Can't make it this year (focus is elsewhere re travel and spending cash to ride) but I have penciled in 2015. Thanks for the heads up.

Re: How was your commute today

Change of wind meant headish wind both ways today....weather wasn't that awful - like others have said, serious wind was gone by 5pm. Definitely underestimated how much the temperature was going to drop though....a bit under dressed for the ride home. At least the feeling in my toes has come back now!

Re: Federation Trail

Agree road surface is not great (its much worse heading in the opposite direction to the video).

Also agree with the above poster - thats not how I would have handled the traffic,

Re: How was your commute today

No good at all today. Looked down for half a second at the wrong time...traffic in front of me hit the breaks...hit a car. Entirely my fault. Rather depressing.

Jayco Herald Sun Tour

Really looking forward to it. Going to get out and catch a bit of each day (as well as the Bay Classic crits), working in both some riding and some family stuff at the different towns. Disappointing to see that SBS has dropped back to nightly highlights though after showing live coverage of the fina...

Re: Goldcross in Hoppers Crossing becomes an Awful Mart

Some really good suggestions, thanks for that :)

I'm also considering some of the CBD shops as I'm going to be lots of commuting to the city next year.

Goldcross in Hoppers Crossing becomes an Awful Mart

I knew Goldcross in Hoppers Crossing was being renovated and had heard that they were going to change it to include some general sports stuff, but good god...the whole place sucks. :( 95% A Mart and 5% Goldcross. Probably a grand total of about 20 bikes for sale, one staff member, no on-site mechani...

Re: Is anybody Going to the Great Vic?

Been too busy to even think about it! Excitement is starting to build now though...

I think the quiteness in this forum has been matched by lack of promotion on Facebook and the BV website of the event too. Haven't heard much at all...

Re: Channel 7 would like some 'interesting' footage..

Hmm, time for official complaint via Free TV Australia I think: http://www.freetv.com.au/Content_Common/OnlineComplaintStep1.aspx Template provided. Modify as you wish. I refer to the segment captioned "Cycling Vigilantes" that aired on Channel 7 at 8:10am on Tuesday 23 October 2012. A co...

Re: Dear so and so

9:45pm - driving on the Princes Freeway - near Newland St exit Dear WSY277, WTF? There was a lane free to both your left and two to the right if you wanted to overtake. Instead you chose to deliberately push me out of the lane after making eye contact. I'm feeling rather lucky to not be in hospital,...

Re: Amy's Ride 2013

I think it's an exciting change. Disappointed that it's on the same day as the Men's Road Race though....prefer to grab an early good position on the climb that day and chill out. At my speed I can't do the long ride and still be back in time to do that! Would prefer the rec ride to be the day befor...
