Re: 2018 Summary

Big km’s. Big vert. Mostly group rides. Some solo rides. Mostly local rides. Some OS rides. Mostly sealed. Some gravel. Mostly known roads. Some new unknown roads. Most importantly, I’ve met my target again this year. Keep things happy(er) on the home front……. by doing less km’s than the previous ye...

Re: Phone cameras

The numbers are staggering, according to the latest Monash Uni study.

60% of people read texts while driving!
I guess that’s better than people writing texts, right?

Great route, that!
But beware of 'roos, bunnies, and wombats, especially during the early hours.

Re: How was your commute today

I almost got taken out by a van driver while riding home today. It was right next to me, then just turned across my path, and I only avoided getting hit because I turned with it. It missed me by centimetres. Sometimes I wish people like that would just finish the job, so I don't have to continue li...

Re: Why are the Forums slowing down?

Another reason why the forum may be slowing down is that the lost password code appears broken! Tried this numerous times over the last few months to no avail plus tried the contact us form. I was only able to get my account unlocked by contacting David via FB who is also a member here yesterday an...

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Fantastic write-up, it looks beautiful! I'm feeling envious, even though I know there's basically 0% chance I'll ever do it myself. Out of curiosity, what was the overall distance and how much of that were you pushing the bike do you think? Thanks Daicos Mullets. It was beautiful, but I doubt I'll ...

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

This is a recreational ride I did a few days ago. Someone later suggested I should write a blog on the ride. I don’t usually blog, but thought the best to place for a blog is here, as many forumites were involved. RIDING FROM BRIGHT TO MOUNT HOTHAM THE ALTERNATIVE ROUTE DIRT & GRAVEL (& ROCK...

Re: How was your commute today

29 consecutive days of Pyrénées cycling has worked wonders for my legs, and I barely noticed the hills on my commute today. For that month, I averaged 77km and 1695m climbing per day, and totalled 2235km and 49100m. Sounds epic, Victor. Welcome home. Slight anti-climax to your European vacation. I ...
