Re: Camera - front or rear facing?

I've been emailed a fix for the time sync issue on the Aldi camera by Aldi's support agent. Click on this link to download the installation file:

https://we.tl/t-UO7rxSVx4q

Then install it. Run the installed software while connected to the camera.

I've tested it and it works.

Re: Camera - front or rear facing?

For anyone interested in the Aldi bike camera, today I saw about half a dozen in the locked cabinet at Aldi Carnegie and they were reduced to $39.95. I decided to get one as a spare but returned it because it had the same lens fault as one of the previous one I bought and returned. If you decide to ...

Re: Camera - front or rear facing?

I used my Aldi rear camera for the first time today. Experienced all of the above plus when I played it there was no sound. Any thoughts? Actually I didn't think to test the sound previously. I am getting sound, but it is quite muffled and windy. I looked for a part of my journey where someone was ...

Re: Camera - front or rear facing?

megascape, please let us know how you go with the time sync issue. Email reply from support: "There is a glitch on the current firmware. We were advised by the Head Office that they'll be creating an update for the time/date sync issue, software not compatible etc., and we will be sending out ...

Re: Camera - front or rear facing?

Thanks for the review. Is there anything to stop you using it as a front camera (without the light of course)? Yes, I'm trying that tomorrow! In fact I bought two cameras for this reason. I was hoping to put it on the head tube but it is too tight a fit and the rubber bands don't stretch enough, so...

Re: Camera - front or rear facing?

I bought the Aldi rear camera/light today and used it on my ride home from the city. Resolution (full HD, no other modes available) is excellent in clear light conditions - it captures rego plates very well on freeze frame. It is very steady, even on the bumpiest section of my commute home. However,...

How to reduce play in new jockey wheel

Does anyone know how to minimise side-to-side play in new jockey wheels? I have a 9x2 speed hybrid. Gear changes have been a bit sticky recently (after a long period in remission since this thread: https://forums.bicyclenetwork.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=28419). Over time the amount of play in ...

Re: Djerring Trail Talk

Is the trail complete now? I rode the 18km trail from Yarraman station to Caulfield in October 2018 as part of an LXRA organised ride. It was complete then, subject to some minor diversions to avoid works around stations. I assume those works have now been completed. It's a pleasant ride, though if...

Cycliq Fly12 (and Fly6)

Has anyone got the new version of the Fly12, the 'CE' one released late last year? I see Pushy's are selling it (as a pre-order) for $340, well under the $400 RRP. [Edit: Wiggle also sell it, 99c cheaper] I know there are some reviews out there but having been burned by my experience with the origin...

Re: Camera - front or rear facing?

It's actually not the battery that's dead, it's the electronics that controls the recharging, because when you plug in the USB the charging light doesn't come on and it doesn't recharge. It's still got enough juice to switch on for a few seconds before switching itself off so I don't think it's a fa...

Camera - front or rear facing?

My Fly6 (original mark 1 version) has stopped charging. I'm thinking of replacing it with either a front or rear facing camera such as the Fly12 or Fly6. I'd consider equivalents, not that I've heard of anything equivalent. My question for those of you who have used both front and rear facing camera...

Re: Fulcrum 5 lg

I am <80kg so I can't answer the question about weight but I commute with these wheels and they are fantastic.

Stock is rarely available in the Shimano-compatible variety - less than one day per month on sites like Wiggle and PBK. Not sure why Fulcrum can't get their act together and meet demand.

Re: Helmet Laws.. or Losers who have heaps of time to talk crap.

I always wear a helmet and I insist my kids do so, but I dont see why Australians are so ready to accept the criminalisation of behaviour that only affects the individual. If people want to ride without a helmet and take the risk of smashing their head on the ground - illogical and irresponsible tho...
