Re: Upgrading from 10 to 11 sp

I've had no trouble getting 10spd parts from wiggle/crc so I'm still running 10spd on my roadie and my cx bike.

I know on my sram wheels I can replace the freehub to convert them to 11 spd, but I haven't bothered.

Re: What did you find on the road today?

I'd didn't see this, I'm not in Adelaide for the TDU. But for the want of a better place to put it ... $12K of Pinarello Nytro E-bike so the story goes! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIAi2BbKHtA It wasn't the Nytro, apparently it was a normal pina with a 3rd party ebike rear wheel and batteries i...

25k each way, pretty fast, most days of the week. Weekends are for commute recovery.

I did stop under a shelter once when golf ball sized hail was pelting down. That stopped me. But it soon passed and my ride resumed :)

Re: Do you change your mode of commuting with the weather?

I do, I commute 25k each way, and if it's raining significantly in the morning I'll chicken out and get the train. However if it's forecast to be dry in the morning but raining on the way home, I'll ride anyway as I don't mind getting home a bit soggy.

Re: How was your commute today

Who's the genius at Parks Vic that decided 8:35am is a good time to close the Burnley pontoon boom gates for 10 minutes on super tuesday bike count day? There would have been at least 150 cyclists banked up waiting for them to open again this morning. Otherwise is was an awesome ride in :) It happe...

Re: How was your commute today

First flat of the year for me today. Heading outbound on the MYT pontoons, the pontoons must have moved around a bit with the sudden downpour of rain this evening and weren't sitting nicely.
