Re: Meat & 3 Veg

Weather today = picnics and sandwiches.

Slow cook planned for tomorrow - lamb, which I rarely do because I'm not a huge fan. Going Moroccan inspired spicing.

Re: Meat & 3 Veg

Steamed broccoli and zucchini. A veg rice pilaf, but I really need to find a better brand of ground turmeric than the store one which seems nowhere near one I had recently. Honey and Dijon glue to stick a macadamia panko dill crust to some salmon to roast. All on the go at the moment. Home school cl...

Re: Melbourne lockdown

^ wot he said. Except I’ve not been riding for a few weeks. So I’ll try to get some in for the long weekend coupled with walks or runs. I’m riding to work tomorrow for the first time in a while, but it’s only about 6km one way. Will extend perhaps on the route home. I’ve not done much since finishin...

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

No riding for me, for another 5 weeks.... Right arm in a sling after an operation last week (day before lockdown...) to repair a torn shoulder tendon - a basketball injury. I guess this means missing the depths of Melbourne's winter.....and constructing 10 km radius rides in week 2 of the loc...

Did the Coastrek 60km on the weekend. Time to get back to bike commuting.

But you can still donate to the cause ;)

Hi, there! :D I noticed there's quite a few of you lurking on this forum (I checked the bottom of the page and it showed over 200 guests). Just because this forum appears quiet doesn't mean it has to stay that way, so feel free to sign up and start posting :) We'd love to "hear" from you....

Was a bit of a nostalgia trip though - map device was analogue (a very dog-eared Melway)

Re: How was your commute today

After 3 weeks of working from home because of a persistent cough, it's finally gone, and I'm resuming my 320km / week commute next week (although it will no doubt be wet). However, commuting that much requires more than 1 bike, so one can be fixed/maintained while I use the other. So on that note, ...

Re: How was your commute today

Good ride home, albeit incredibly short. But that's just the commute these days,. What ha get for choosing to live near workplace.
Enjoying this second burst of warmer weather again. Winter nears, yet it's been pretty good out there!!

Re: How was your commute today

After a couple of days of migraine fun, today I got to ride to work. Beautiful morning for it. I walked the Boy to school along with my bike, then hopped on and went. It's such a short walk, not worth him riding!!

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Bit shy of 24km on foot, walking with Marti as a training outing.
Stuffed myself silly with gnocchi, pasta, foccacia, prosecco and cannolo at the cheese factory's festival.
Now it's time for a beer....

Re: How was your commute today

you're not going to like this response but a left turn on a red into cycle lane is a pretty safe move, in certain circumstances you're at more risk waiting at red as your risk is from behind, where left turner keeps risk in front of them and within their control. its a bit of a pardigm shift in how...

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

15km walk/hike yesterday, so thought a ride today would help my slightly sore hips.

Heading out on shared path towards Craigieburn, I met H going the opposite way. She turned and joined me, and it made my 40km ride a pleasant social outing :D
