Re: How was your recreational ride today?

I've reached the limit of what rubbish I can tolerate from a certain forum member on this forum, so I'm out. Best wishes to those who were supportive and friendly. --- Victor. Take your ball and go home if you must Victor. A final thought using the reductio ad absurdum argument: Under Victor's prop...

Re: National Ride2School Day

I saw three students from the local catholic primary school on their bikes about 8.30 yesterday, either a practice run or a day early. I did not get up in time today to notice any RTS participants.

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Friend's work mate got pinged for 24 kph on Southbank Promenade today. Court summons. Some people think that the rules do not apply to them. Hope they make an example of him. Mike No, this is a clear example of anti-cyclist behaviour by the police. They should be focusing on the 1 tonne vehicles dr...

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

3AW today:
" More than 100 cyclists, electric bike and scooter riders have been nabbed speeding by police during a three-week crackdown in Southbank".

Obviously the news about the first bloke being caught did not get around!

Re: Jokes.

Back in the early 90s, Sylvester Stallone, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Arnold Scwarzenegger were getting a little tired of being cast as muscle bound action heroes, and decided to collaborate on a movie about 18th century composers. When it came time to decide who would play what, Stallone said, “I’l...

*I say this very selfishly because my current client has indicated, in no uncertain terms, that they will require their workforce to return to the office as soon as allowed for "critical business reasons"

Re: Great Victorian Bike Ride 2019

Not surprised.

No ATB and no GVBR will make a very large hole in BV's bottom line for 2020-2021

But then getting take away is not part of the exercise routine is it? Or is it?

No, I don't think that that was the intention. The one hour window is meant for exercise!

Not as healthy as Canuck's but great on a cold winter night: Butter Chicken (unlike a certain Werribee person who gained some media attention travelling a long distance for his butter chicken Handi Indian Restuarant on the corner of Canterbury Rd and Boronia Rd is just over 1km from us.) You also wonder why someone from Mont Albert was so far away from home with this lockdown.

I hope she gets a $1,652 fine.

She may not be entirely at fault for the collision.

This is in the price range that I would expect from Alltrails for example but Alltrails provide all meals.

Re: Great Victorian Bike Ride 2019

I doubt this year's ride will go ahead, even if the current restrictions are relaxed. Having 4,000 people close together, using the same amenities and sweating all over each other doesn't seem like a good idea. And a month later not much has changed. Now what about the Around the Bay. Some of those...
