We toured (independently) for a few months mainly in France in 2010. We took own bikes but landed in UK. Boxes give best protection - with heaps of packing around. We find something llike Qatntas 23kg is fine with 7kg carry on - looking pretty weird in touring shoes & carrying helmets. You won't...

Lift wanted to Gisborne after Ride & lift offers

Unfortunately we will leave a car :evil: in Gisborne & are looking for a lift (I passenger only) back from Taupo on the finish day. Also we are able to offer a 1 passenger-only lift from Wellington (Slow - 1- 2 days camping) to the beginning of the ride and an after-ride, again 1 passenger-only)...

Free Bikes

We have the problem of only 'meeting' our bkes two days before the ride. We need to get our gear to Telstra Stadium on them & plan to bring panniers & carriers - of racks as you may call them. Willt hy be able to be fixed on to top strut of back forks :?: also whats a good rout from Whittles...
