Re: How was your commute today

Anyone back to riding to work? I rode to the shops today in the cool, dark morning air. Not much wind at that time of day, and very little traffic which made the ride more pleasant. Re: Cyclist dies in hospital

Sad :(

Understand that's there's another cyclist in serious condition from an accident earlier this month on Marine Parade in St Kilda.
Hit & run, car with trailer - they stopped and then took off.

Re: TdF 2021

So nice.

As for the race, the GC winner was pretty much in the bag by the end of the first week.
But otherwise, great riding from Ben O"Connor.
And WVA winning a high mountain stage, an ITT and a sprint stage, that's out of this world.

Personal Mobility Devices - updated ARR

For the first time ever, Personal mobility Devices (PMDs) such as #escooters are now covered by the model Australian Road Rules. This concludes our review of barriers to safe and legal use of #PMDs - which started in 2019.

Re: How was your commute today

Darn it, 4 days commuting to work this week and tomorrow would have been the first time in over 1 year and 4 months that I would have had a full week of riding to and from work, but it looks like another lockdown will beat me again tonight.

Re: How was your commute today

The GCT / MYT very quiet at the moment. Almost feels like more walkers than cyclists.
High speed (40kph +) scooters are a increasing menace. Their speed, coupled with very bright lights mounted at wheel level - point upwards, makes them extremely irritating.

How does that even happen?

Looks like a pedestrian crossing, with a no cycling sign on it. :?

Crispy cold this morning. Ice on the pontoons in Cremone.
No sign of any works or activity.

Re: How was your commute today

Back to the office after the lockdown (at least a few days week). Another cold, crisp morning, but enjoyable once warmed up. Quite a few riding, but not many peds in the city, Southbank Promenade was empty. The usual winter ice on the MTY pontoons in Cremone. What happened to the planned closure of...

700! Nice work.
I bet it's a whole lot warmer there in the morning than it is here!
