Re: How was your recreational ride today?

I heard that you guys got a few drops of rain. (The Gold Coast desperately needs it). I can be a real bastard at times and I think, this is one of those times. Enjoy todays' sh!t weather on the GC. Apart from some rain Monday morning, it's been absolutely prime riding weather here in Melbourne. Loo...

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Cool cloudy morning gave way to sun and rising temp. I saw the Boy off to play cricket, then I did an out and back to Craigieburn. Warmer by then, I would've preferred the morning. Otherwise, lovely ride. Lots of bunnies out there. Long grasses lapping at the edges of the path. Insects droning. Ple...

Re: How was your commute today

First ride into the office since March. Felt really weird, but that might have been the oversize backpack for the laptop which I don't normally transport from the office.
Great morning for it, not too many riders through the MYT or CCT / Southbank. Lots of joggers though.

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Yes, the roads have got quite busy. Rode out to Kinglake this morning and on return Eltham was gridlock with cars everywhere. Had a bit of everything today. Cool at first, warmed out rapidly. Pouring rain at St Andrews, blowing a gale at the top at Kinglake, more rain at St Andrews on the return and...

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Today's recreational ride was very refreshing, thank you for asking. I started from East Malvern Station and took the Gardiner's Creek Trail towards Laburnum station. From the station I followed the path along the railway line until I reached the Eastlink trail where I turned off to ride back towar...

Strong La Nina, expecting it to be rather wet. At least it will be mild.

Re: Melbourne lockdown

Kew Boulevard wasn't that busy between 6 and 7am this morning.
Police cameras installed at either end of the separated bike lane. They are a little too obvious to catch the tacker.

Re: Melbourne lockdown

25km it is.
That gets me out to Paton Hill - Pleasant Rd, Menzies, Alma Rd and Flat Rocks all in play.
Full beachie to Mordialloc, and even out west to Altona.
First up the Kew Boulies tomorrow

Re: Melbourne lockdown

^ Is that filtered or fitted? Not too sure that would pass muster. I did enjoy image searching "fitted curve buff" though :D Both. It has a replaceable PM2.5 filter in front of the nose / mouth (comes with quite a few replacement filters). It's fitted across the nose - a bendy bit of wire...

Re: Melbourne lockdown

No more Buff wearing unfortunately: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-10-12/victoria-coronavirus-face-mask-rule-changes-explained/12752128 I normally carry / wear a fitted gaiter or buff, which is allowed. Well that is what the DHHS web site says. https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/face-masks-vic-covid-19#...
