Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Mornings are starting to get cold.
Might have to dust off some warmer gear.

Re: How was your commute today

On point, riding to pickup son from crit races (5th today!) on Southbank Promenade - there is building works at the Crown, Clarendon st side and it’s really narrow. I’ve lined it up to keep left but blue cretin decides to blind pass at speed on the right side. Red cyclist heading the other way, prob...

Re: How was your commute today

Nice morning again. Escorted the youngest boy to school again, he's got crit races at the tear drop tonight again. Took it easy through southbank again. Still no police. Article quoting fines up to $1600 for speeding on a bike. What a laugh, you don't get a fine anywhere near that in a car even at d...

Re: How was your commute today

^10km/hr is so slow, they may catch some powered wheelchair users. And perhaps a lot of runners. Yep, plenty of runners faster than that. I rolled through at 15 kph today, which is about as slow as I feel comfortable at, everyone else left me for dead. No sign of the police, but plenty of flashing ...

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Back out to the Boulies at 6am after the 5km limit revoked. Boy was the traffic so much heavier than the last few days. Warm and misty in parts, Kew Boulevard was very busy with cyclists this morning. Not so many on the Yarra Boulevard in Richmond. A few reps up the burgs in Hawthorn to finish the w...

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Did the local 5km work out. There was 50 or more on the Hawthorn velo this morning. Older son went out this afternoon and said the local trails where mayhem, and the velo was just as busy as it was this morning. Youngest wants to do the early am ride with me tomorrow before (remote) schooling. Lets ...

Re: Melbourne lockdown

Starting tonight (11:59pm Friday 12/2/21), only 2 hours of exercise per day, with one other person and within 5 km of home. Masks must be worn at all times when outside your house. Riding with a mask really sucks. I have no problems with masks in any other setting. Looks like I have to get use it i...

Re: How was your commute today

Nice day again. To school with my son and onwards to work; ride home was similar, but via the HCC crits in Kew to pick up the boy after his first ever race (he did really well too) and home again.
