Re: How was your commute today

Was super close passed, at speed, twice in quick succession this morning - think they were racing! First lad gave me around 15-20cm space but the second lad passed so close i swear he brushed my arm - probably the air rush but, my it was close! Bloody Rosellas! I get that with the Rainbow Lorikeets...

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

I went for a ride up and down the Darebin Creek on Saturday, it was such a beautiful day. There were lots of other walkers and riders with the same idea, but everyone was pretty well behaved.

Re: Meat & 3 Veg

Pasta. Orecchiette. Sauce of cherry tomatoes from the grandparents' garden, few cloves of garlic, thyme, touch of honey, olive oil, cooked down. Some pasta water, torn buffalo mozzarella from the local, basil off the window plant. Ground pepper. Glass of red. We had orecchitette last night! Not as ...

Gct was full of walkers, skate park was busy, quite a few joggers...

Without going fast at all, you'd be able to set a Strava KOM along Southbank that would never be broken. :P

That's exactly what a plague carrier would say! ;)

Re: How was your commute today

They've staggered the WFH at my office, in the hope that the IT systems and support don't collapse under the sudden influx. I expect my team's turn will be in the next day or two, and I reckon the whole office will be closed by Monday. The NAB building near us in Docklands closed yesterday with a co...

Any drop off in pupil attendance yet?

I don't work at a school, but my kids' school has had a huge drop off in students, maybe about half.

Re: How was your commute today

Still no WFH decision, everyone in our office is really surprised it hasn't happened yet. I still think it will happen before the end of this week. Often I might bring in food items for 2-3 days, like additional pieces of fruit. At the moment though, I'm only bringing in what I need for the day, so ...

Re: How was your commute today

Absolutely georgeous morning for a ride. The roads were pretty empty and numbers were definitely down on the paths too. I wasn't expecting to be in the office this morning, because on Friday it looked like the recommendation would be to work from home. I reckon that'll be implemented sooner rather t...

Re: How was your commute today

Heavy flooding along the Moonee Ponds Creek this morning, forcing everyone to abandon the path. I followed a string of other cyclists through the backstreets of North Melbourne and into Docklands that way. It took me about 5 minutes longer in the end, which isn't bad compared to other road and train...

Re: How was your commute today

Fairly ugly warm, humid headwind for the return tonight. Certainly hard work. This could be for you Claude https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=3668358589871133&id=430343497006008&sfnsn=mo I saw something about that. They had to ride heavy town bikes only. No lightweight, aerodynamic...

Re: How was your commute today

Humid, humid, humid. The paths were absolutley packed this morning. There wasn't enough space in the intersection islands at Murray Rd and Miller St to safely hold the number of cyclists. From about Bell St south, there was pretty much a constant string of cyclists down the St Georges Rd path. There...

Re: How was your commute today

Very humid this morning. I've noticed the paths have been very for the last couple of weeks, particularly on the way home. On Newquay Promenade in Docklands, there have been (I'm guessing) council officers in hi-vis vests at either end of the promenade. It looks like they're observing and counting ...
