Re: Mildura, which bike?

Thanks for all the info. I have now encountered a major problem, the bike didn't fit in the hire car.
I'm hoping to find a cheap used bike or something.

Re: Asthma and riding

Thanks everyone. Well a week before the Alpine Classic i saw the doc. Got the medium strength preventer and i think it helps a little but didn't stop it. I started coughing inside the 1st hour and took ventolin. i had 4 x 2 shots which stopped me from vomiting. Throughout the ride i used it once or ...

The preventer sounds good.

Asthma and riding

Sorry if this has been discussed previously. I've had asthma since November around the time of the thunderstorm asthma experience in Melbourne. If I don't take a ventolin on a ride I'll be vomiting within the first hour. It's now progressed to fatigue on the bike and struggle for energy. I needed 4 ...

Re: Summer of 2016/17

I've been staying close to beach rd while the magpies are angry. I've also been doing plenty of kms on the dandy creek trail too kind of preparing for the slog. I'll be entering the alpine classic 200km at least as I've already booked accommodation in Bright. After that I've entered the Otway Odysse...

Re: Giant Odyssey 2016

Very excited to read the Odyssey 100 has added another route called the gret Odyssey gravel grind. I think I'll be doing this as the house reno is going to take up the funds that I was planning on buying a suitable bike. It's on the Sunday, 97kms of linked gravel roads they reckon even roadies might...

Snuffy,

I'm still uncommitted due to school holidays.
My decision will most likely be a spontaneous one.
I'm just gonna wait to see what my tribe want to do over the weekend.
Thanks
