As freakish as that is, is it an accident? People should not be driving if their diabetes is not under control. https://www.diabetesaustralia.com.au/driving

Re: Traffic lights, Yarra Blvd / Chandler Hwy Intersection

Not quite on topic, but regarding the new Chandler Highway bridge itself, I notice there's an on-road bike lane going north, but coming south the lane takes you over the old bridge (via bollards) and then you have to merge with the traffic again on the other side. I thought some early plans showed o...

That looks like Malcolm Turnbull. I wonder if he rides? He's got a bit more spare time lately.

Even this off topic section hasn't had a post in nearly 3 weeks. Is it time to turn off the lights yet?

You should absolutely shop around for electricity, fwiw. There's a huge variation in offers and if you're not checking regularly you're almost certainly paying too much.

Re: Mullum Mullum Creek path new bridges?

It only comes back up Park Rd to the current crossing point which is near the bottom but has better sight lines. It's a similar treatment to what they have at the next road crossing at Old Warrandyte Rd. I'll look forward to checking it out. Hopefully they'll put up some signage indicating that bik...

Re: Mullum Mullum Creek path new bridges?

Hmm so looking at the map at https://www.manningham.vic.gov.au/mullum-mullum-trail , it seems that the new trail is going to meet the existing one at the bottom of Park Rd, but part way up that bugger of a climb, only to go down again on the other side. Couldn't they have done better than that??!

Re: Garmin 520

You need the Edge linked to the Garmin Connect app on your phone via Bluetooth, and your Garmin account linked to Strava. Since you got a new phone you probably need to add the Edge to the Connect app on your phone again. Check whether your rides appear in Garmin Connect online (connect.garmin.com) ...

Re: 2014 - Mt Donna Buang snow ride - Sunday 13 July

First few balls of snow were at about 770m ASL. By 1000m there was lots of on the side of the road. It was very thick at the Healesville Rd junction. In the sun it was quite warm, in the shade about 1.5 degrees. Which was actually warmer than when I left Surrey Hills in the morning (more like zero)....

Thanks Gerry, as long as the road is clear it should be fine. I'm not riding a fat bike, but I might take the CX then.

Re: 2014 - Mt Donna Buang snow ride - Sunday 13 July

Does anyone know how long it takes the snow to melt? It snowed last Sunday. I want to ride tomorrow but I'm not up with Snuffy level of snowbike hardcore suffering. So it would need to have melted quite a lot, or else I'll take the paved road instead. I see from Strava that some guys rode it last Su...

My bookmarked stopped working again. Do they change the address of this forum weekly now? Every time I assume it's gone until I find the URL again.
