Re: How was your commute today

Anyone back to riding to work?

I rode to the shops today in the cool, dark morning air. Not much wind at that time of day, and very little traffic which made the ride more pleasant.

Re: Melbourne lockdown

5 km limit to be lifted tonight (Tuesday 27th July 2021) at midnight. A little more freedom, thankfully.

Re: Really?

Is it still there? The bike isn't there anymore. The cafe is now just leaving tables out the front with no chairs, so the rack is still being blocked in business hours. Due to the lockdown rules, the cafe is takeaway only, so now we have a small crowd of people gathered together on the footpath, st...

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Sorry to hear of your loss, Frosty. I was looking forward to hearing and seeing your tales from the Western Queensland rides.

Re: Why are the Forums slowing down?

Now the forum owners have just let its security certificate expire, causing my internet browser to warn me the BN forums site might be unsafe. This needs to be fixed, because any reputable site wouldn't have expired or invalid security certificates. It appears to be sorted now. Forums are also runn...

Re: Coffee @home

Vegan iced coffee: Chilled soda water mixed with instant coffee. Delicious and delightfully frothy. So much frothing... Sorry, but that sounds horrific to me. Ha ha. To each their own. I made some coffee scrolls the other day, with a coffee filling and coffee icing. They are probably ...

Re: Meat & 3 Veg

I baked a loaf of banana bread today. An excellent choice of comfort food for a wintry day.

Re: Really?

I have been keeping an eye out for hard rubbish bikes, just to park one there before the cafe opens. Watch this space, people. **Edit** Does anyone know how to get hold of the guy who does the Jesus bikes? I haven't seen them around since the pandemic started. Would be great to see one parked amongs...

Re: Meat & 3 Veg

Thank you Canuck for reminding me of one of my favourite childhood desserts, growing up in Australia as I did. My mother made lemon delicious on a regular rotation. My cat loved licking out the bowl, she always had an inexplicable liking for lemons or lemon flavour.

Really?

It is an insult to cycling. Why put a table right up against a bike rack? (not sure if photo is blurry due to low light conditions or I am shaking from the cold this morning)
