Re: Forums have been upgraded

I've also increased the maximum depth of nested posts to 10, though you are encouraged to quote responsibly. ;)

Re: Forums have been upgraded

I have now enabled a theme called "subsilver2" which looks quite similar to the previous forums. This includes having the poster details listed on the left. To enable this theme, visit the User Control Panel, select "Board Preferences" and choose "subsilver2" from the &...

Re: Forums have been upgraded

Thanks for your comments regarding moving poster information to the right. This upgrade has taken rather a lot of work, so I'm not able to justify spending further time today tweaking. Let's stick with the default template for two weeks and I'll try to find time to enable an alternative template wit...

Sorry Snuffy, the new forums software doesn't support posting HTML. You'll need to make use of BBcode to insert images and links now.

Forums have been upgraded

Hi Folks, as I'm sure you can see, we've just performed an upgrade to the Forums. This should hopefully bring in many new benefits and address some of the recent instability. Please let us know if you come across any issues by posting in this topic.

I'm fairly confident auto-login is now working. It may of course take one more login to update your cookies, but after that, things should be ok.

Thanks to those who pointed out the warning messages they were seeing.

The messages turned out to be a symptom of the problem behind auto-login not working. We'd previously had these warnings disabled, making tracking down the problem a bit tricky!

Auto-login is now working. :)

Auto-login not working (update: now fixed)

As some have mentioned, auto-login doesn't seem to be working correctly. Hopefully we'll have this fixed soon.

Now's probably a good time to explain why and how we appointed additional volunteer moderators. We're currently working with the fantastic staff at Bicycle Victoria to make the forums more useful to members and the cycling public. A few specific things we're looking at are:

integrating the ...
