Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Another nice day. While riding through Seaworld's carpark, I heard their helicopter approaching, so I snapped it while it came into land. https://s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/www.frostysaussieadventures.com/Bike-Routes/Images/2021-04/IMG_2070-1024.JPG Today's Ride Report: http://www.frostysaussie...

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Beautiful photo, Matt. After my last ride a week ago, i discovered 4 broken spokes. Strange that every bike I own, after the first couple of months riding, I am having the rear wheel, completely respoked with the strongest spokes possible. I think it may have something to do with the rider's weight ...

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

matt,
It's not bad.
The locals are bitching about our overnight minimum of 13. We still have an overhead fan going during the night.
During the day, it is still shorts and t shirt weather.

I said 'stuff it, I need to go for a ride', So I did. just my normal 40+kms from Labrador - Surfers - The Spit - Labrador. Being Sunday and throw in school holidays. Re: The weather-watch thread

I hadn't ridden since 22nd Feb until last Friday 9th April, due to various medical dramas. Thank God, I am back to normal for as normal as an old fart can be. :D It may be a coincident or not but since 22nd Feb, the Gold Coast Seaway which is less than a kilometer from us, across the Broadwater has ...

Re: The completely off-topic thread

Glad you are back up and going again.
My powerboard is still going, it has 6 outlets but 2 have since passed away. :)
The other 4 are still going strong.

Re: How was your recreational ride today?

Back riding after 6.5 weeks of NO RIDING. Had a couple of skin cancers removed (the joys of being an old fart who loved the sun) and then just as I was about to recommence riding, I put my back out and was bed ridden for 2 weeks and add to this. THE WEATHER HAS BEEN SH!T. (I am a fair weather cyclis...

Re: High Fidelity - music musings

My tastes in music tend towards the very obscure, and I particularly like neo-classical, post-rock, ambient electronic, or some combination of these. I don't know if you've heard of any of these bands, but they've created some pretty impressive music. March Thirty One , by Falling You , from the al...
